Most AEs lose deals in the middle of their demo. Not at the end. Not during objections… Right in the middle, while they're still talking and the buyer has already mentally moved on. It happens because most demos are product tours. Top AEs run theirs as decision sessions. The difference is what happens before you ever share your screen. Buyers need to feel the cost of doing nothing before they can get genuinely excited about a solution. Skip that step and your demo becomes a feature showcase they'll compare against three competitors. Get it right and the buying urgency is already built by the time you open the product. This is one piece of what I'm covering on March 19. We're also going deep on USP, because in this market, a weak differentiator is just as damaging as a weak demo.
