Someone cold called me today selling services to coaches and
asked what kind of coaching we did.
“Time Coaching”, I told him.
“Oh, like time management.”
This is the response most people offer.

When I became a life coach, the school I was part of created
$100k awards for anyone who had created $100k in their business
within 12 months.
It was inspiring.
And completely overwhelming.
I remember the exact moment my dear friend Krista received her
first $100k award.
We went for lunch straight after and all I could think was...
Impossible.
Krista and I had been coaching each other every week since
certification (and still do!)
I had been getting coached on building out my start up that we
closed a month before this awards ceremony.
A capital F for fail.
So of course the idea of creating financial success in another
business felt impossible.
I had all the reasons why she could do it and I couldn't.
And it was all personal.
I'm a failure.
I keep failing.
I'm not as good/smart/deserving
I'm doing it wrong.
I am wrong.
I am stuck.
But I kept going.
I moved back in with my parents while my friends were buying
houses and having babies.
All the evidence pointed to me massively f*cking up.
And despite my circumstances, despite the evidence and despite my
primitive brain talking down to me...
I did it.
And just 6 months later I had that award.
That is when I truly learned how wrong our brains can be.
So I get it if you're looking at other people and thinking
"success is for them, not for me."
Consider this...
Your brain can be wrong too.
What you want cannot miss you.
What is meant for you cannot miss you.
So if there's a part of you that has had the thought,
"I'd love to do that, but I'm not that kind of person"
You are.
Something is coming for you.
An opportunity to let your brain be wrong.

Penny was sat at a conference when she casually mentioned she was
doing the Time Coach Certification.
The person she was chatting to?
Hired her to coach the entire team (7 people!) before she had
even certified.
Last week Weronika asked her manager for approval to set up her
Time Coaching business outside of her full time job.
He immediately asked her to coach the entire team.
They talk about selling ice in Alaska.
Personally, I'd rather sell fire.
I don't want to be so great at selling that people end up buying
things they don't want.
I'd much rather solve a real problem, so everybody wins.
And in my own business, when I stopped coaching on all the
things, and started focusing on Time...
I made $100k in two weeks with an email list of less than 200.
And my clients? They finished projects in weeks they had been
sitting on for months.
They stopped working evenings and enjoyed guilt-free rest.
I look back now and wish I’d helped people with time WAY sooner.
Because when you solve the problem everyone has, dream clients
come to you, selling feels fun (yes, really), and you know what
you're doing matters in the world.
For me, once I became a Time Coach, I didn’t just make money.
I made sense.

I just got back from Thailand where I had a brutally honest
conversation with a friend about online business.
She said what most people won't...
It's hard.
Sure, the "make money while drinking coconuts from the
beach" sounds amazing. But for so many, the "dream" falls flat in
reality.
Most business owners are entering a saturated market where people
are already competing for the lowest price.
And everyone is saying the same thing (thanks, AI).
There are literally thousands of people who are twenty steps
ahead.
So the "excited to start" bubble bursts fast leaving so many
brilliant brains quitting on themselves and their goals.
And I get it more than most.
In 2017 I built my first online business and it was so much work
and so far from the dream.
You may have heard about my 80 hour weeks, I'm quite open about
them, but did you know they came with earning $2/hour?
That my first anxiety attack came from complete reliance on a
programmer to build things that I couldn't understand who just
disappeared.
Or that my partner made me close the business after refusing to
continue after my 3rd burnout even though I really didn't want to
give up.
I thought business should be hard, so I made it hard.
Now I know better.
But if you’ve ever felt like online business is a fantasy game
you weren’t built to win?
It doesn’t have to be.

Most of us are confusing money with wealth.

And I never get angry when someone cancels or postpones meetings
because I live in a deep understanding that life happens to all
of us.
I take radical self responsibility to a level where I feel
powerful, and walk through my life like it is all working out for
me, even when it is challenging.

Personality is temporary.
I won't debate you on this. Because I've lived the reality.
I was disorganized, addicted to work, anxious and busy. I thought
change was impossible.
It was only after years of 80+ hour work weeks and 3 burnouts
that I accepted defeat.
And that low point? It was a springboard.
It's the reason I am now calm, achieve more in 1 hour than most
do in 8, and work a 15 hour week with time to spare.
I share this because I know some of you feel stuck, like I did.
You want to work less but don’t know how.
You see other people do it and think it’s just “for them”, the
lucky few who have the “right” business model, the team, the AI
models set up.
And it’s not.
I was talking with a friend recently and she laughed and said
“Vik, do you remember when you were the disorganised one?!”
It was my entire brand. My personality.
Until it wasn’t.
I created my 15 hour work week in 2021, and have lived it ever
since.
